Campus Services in the Library

Body

The library is home to several campus centers located within the building.

Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers all Sacramento State students, faculty and staff, no matter their major or discipline, the ability to learn, explore and build on their business or non-profit ideas.

Community Engagement Center

We facilitate campus and community partnerships that make a difference in the lives of our students and the Sacramento region by providing opportunities for service learning, community service and academic internships.

First Year Experience

The mission of First Year Experience at Sacramento State is to improve the retention and graduation rates of native students, a goal that is directly aligned with the Graduation Initiative.

Full Circle Project

The Full Circle Project aims to assist Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students throughout his or her entire college careers, and provide ample opportunities to engage in service both on and off campus to enhance their university experience.

International Programs & Global Engagement

The International Programs and Global Engagement team offers numerous programs and activities including International Admissions, International Student and Scholar Services, Study Abroad and International Exchange programs, the Passport Place @ Sac State and a wide range of Global Initiatives.

Multicultural Center

The Multi-Cultural Center aims to provide a sense of belonging for members of our campus community and advocate for an inclusive and respectful space for students from all backgrounds. Through a wide range of programs, we collaborate with different campus partners to provide welcoming spaces, affirmation, and validation for individuals and student groups.

Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (ORIED)

The Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (ORIED), a unit of Academic Affairs, works to expand the research capacity of Sacramento State’s faculty, staff, and students, and to link a range of academic and infrastructure initiatives that advance our faculty and campus connection to the regional community.

Peer and Academic Resource Center (PARC)

PARC's mission is to promote the scholastic achievements of students through enriched and supportive peer-learning opportunities that aid students along the pathway to degree attainment. PARC utilizes a relatively untapped resource at the University, the talented and knowledgeable students who serve as SI Leaders, Peer Advisors and Peer Tutors. Our motto embodies who we are as a Center: Successful students promoting student success!

Student Research Center

The Student Research Center exists to broaden opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate on authentic research, scholarship, and creative activities.

Testing Center

The Testing Center administers campus-specific exams, CSU system-wide tests and national standardized tests to current and prospective students. Testing accommodations are provided for students registered with the Office of Services to Students with Disabilities (SSWD), and makeup test services are available upon faculty request and approval. Exams are administered in controlled classrooms and private rooms. Testing Center staff provides proctoring services for most exams. All examinees must schedule an appointment to use the Testing Center.

The Library Gallery is the premier gallery space for Sacramento State. Be it paintings, print graphics, sculpture, photographs, or technology, every exhibit is as unique as it is magnificent.
