The State of California has made significant reductions to funding for higher education. Despite recent increases in tuition and fees, the reduction in state money coming into the CSU system, and rising costs have left Sacramento State with a significant budget shortfall. This has already resulted in a reduction in the number of classes offered for next year. To address this shortfall, and improve the educational experience at Sac State, campus has proposed a Student Success Fee.
