We are excited to announce the opening of the University Library's Data | Tech Lab, a dedicated space for faculty to explore and integrate data technologies into their work. The lab will:
- Support faculty in learning data analytics, artificial intelligence, and data visualization tools for research and teaching
- Provide hands-on training for implementing these technologies within specific disciplines
- Assist faculty in developing technology-enhanced course materials and classroom activities
- Foster an interdisciplinary community of data practitioners across campus
We're launching with a soft opening on Monday, February 3rd. The lab will continue to evolve throughout the semester as we build our services and bring on graduate student assistants to manage space and help train new users.
The lab provides both the equipment and collaborative environment faculty need to develop their technical skills and apply them to teaching and research. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Location: Library 1533, near Carlsen Ctr and Faculty Seminar Room.
