Abstract
Join the philosophy professor and writer as he reads selections from his current project. A Pythos Jar is an interconnected series of essays, translation, flash fiction, short story, and poetry that explore the ideas of myth and memorialization as they center around figures such as Hadrian and Sappho, legends such as Tithonus, Icarus, Sisyphus and Persephone. It is a work that attempts to understand the omnipresence of history against the backdrop of the living landscape of Greece.
