CSU's Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) is a program that enables faculty to choose and provide more affordable, quality educational content for their students. Open Educational Resources (OER) are free online teaching and learning materials. They include videos, textbooks, quizzes, learning modules and more. In an effort to support the program and the movement, the University Library at Sac State has planned a series of events (which are free and open to the academic community) that focus on Open Education. One of these events will feature two speakers: the CSU Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Technology Services Leslie Kennedy and the Editor in Chief of OpenStax David Harris.
