The Chicano Oral History Project

The Chicano Oral History Project Event

The University Library is proud to partner with the Serna Center to celebrate The Chicano Oral History Project, the newest collection in the Donald and Beverly Gerth Special Collections and University Archives. This collection of nearly 100 interviews was a gift from the Sacramento Movimiento Chicano and Mexican American Education Oral History Project.

The Chicano Oral History Project is a perfect encapsulation of Made at Sac State as many of the people interviewed are Sacramento State graduates turned faculty, staff, and administrators.

To celebrate this collection and its contributors, the University Library will be hosting a panel discussion and reception in the University Union featuring panelists: Taty Aguilera, Rosie Gaytan, Tim Quintero, Tere Romo, and moderated by David Rasul and Dr. Lorena V. Márquez.
