Royal Chicano Air Force Poster collection


Abstract:

The Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF), initially named Rebel Chicano Art Front, is an artistic collective based in Sacramento. Royal Chicano Air Force was founded in 1969 to advocate the Chicano civil rights and labor organizing movement of the United Farm Workers. Its mission was to make available to the Chicano community an art center where artists could come together and share with the public artistic and educational programs.

The collection consists of silkscreen posters by various artists within the artistic collective, Royal Chicano Air Force.
