Searching by Keywords / Words

There are two primary methods for searching by topic: keyword and subject. There are advantages and disadvantages to each method. Sometimes it is useful to try both methods.

Keyword / Word is a very popular way of locating information in an online catalog. It allows you to search for individual words in the title, subject and other fields in the record.

For example, if you did a keyword search using the words "space stations", you would find items with the words "space" and "stations" located in the TITLE field.
