ERIC FirstSearch Tutorial

The ERIC database contains references to topics in education and related areas. It includes descriptions of thousands of journal articles and microfiche reports (conference papers, school district publications, etc.) from 1966 to the present. Each of these descriptions follows a standard format and is called a "record." These records do not contain the full articles or reports, so ERIC is called a "bibliographic" database.

This online tutorial is designed to familiarize you with the First Search version of the ERIC database. You will scroll through the steps in this upper frame (using the arrows of the scroll bar on the right of this upper frame).  Follow these instructions as you use the database displayed in the lower frame.
