About to Get Mediæval!
By George Paganelis, Curator,
At long last, Sacramento State students and faculty now have full online access, both on campus and remotely via SacLink authentication, to the most powerful search tool available for research on the Middle Ages: Brepolis Medieval Bibliographies (BMB).
Comprised of the International Medieval Bibliography and the Bibliographie de Civilisation Médiévale, the BMB contains over 320,000 citations to international scholarship on all aspects of the Middle Ages from 300-1500 C.E. spanning Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. In addition, access to the full-text online version of the International Directory of Medievalists is included and can be searched from the main Brepolis database menu.
The BMB offers numerous search methods, including a free search of both entire bibliographies, searching by bibliographical details, and by classification details. Each search field also has an A-Z browsing index and Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) available, allowing for sophisticated searches for optimal results.
