WELCOME! New Faces in the Library

Welcome our new colleagues. Take time to get to know the new faces in BCD, Acquisitions/Serials, Reference, and Library Instruction. - Ed

BCD is very happy to announce the arrival of Astra Gleason. Astra began working for us on October 10 th; her responsibilities include copy cataloging and maintenance of bibliographic records. We are very lucky that Astra comes to us with a wealth of library experience, most recently from the libraries of Sacramento City College and the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She also has worked in libraries at St. Louis Community College in Missouri, UOP McGeorge School of Law and the University of South Carolina. Please join BCD in welcoming Astra and stop by sometime to meet her; since she is replacing Lauretta Frost you will know where to find her. – Charlotte Xanders
Rebecca Imamoto is the new reference temporary half-time Library Assistant, filling the position vacated by Marianne Reynolds. Becky, as she prefers to be called, is from Sunnyvale, CA. She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate, where she majored in history. From there she went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her MLS. Becky worked for 3 years as the Undergraduate Services Librarian at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She returned to California to enroll in the history graduate program at CSUS. In the future she would like to be a history librarian at an academic library. We are all happy that Becky is here. If you have not met her, please introduce yourself. She can be found either at the Reference Desk, the Periodical Desk, or in the Reference Office. - Joe Zhou
