Biology Research Tutorial
About this Tutorial

The Biology Research Tutorial is a series of Web-based, self-paced modules designed to help you learn how to find, evaluate and manage information in an increasingly complex information environment. The tutorial introduces you to some important search concepts relating to the Biology discipline and guides you in the use of the CSUS Library.

The tutorial's modular design allows it to be completed in any order. It can also be used as a source of reference for any interested researcher. Throughout the tutorial, you will find a series of questions you can use to test your level of understanding.

The tutorial will be updated regularly. We encourage and invite all users to share their comments and suggestions for the tutorial and we look forward to hearing from you.

The tutorial was developed by Suchi Mohanty in the Undergraduate Library, Lisa Norberg and Kim Vassiliadis, University Libraries, and Shauna Griffin, School of Information and Library Science, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Many thanks to Lisa Norberg, who allowed me to adapt this tutorial for the students at CSUS, and to Andy Osburn and Bin Zhang, of the CSUS Library Systems Dept., who helped this nascent HTML'er frequently and without complaint.
