TV Program Recording

The primary mission of the Library Media Center in providing off-aired TV broadcasting programs is to support Sac State Faculty Classroom Instruction. The recorded TV program can be used in faculty's curriculum for a limited time. This policy follows the Federal Guidelines for Recording of Broadcast Programming for Educational Purposes. If Sac State Faculty need the off-air TV program to be used in their future curriculum, they may recommend the library to purchase such programs to be added to the collection.

PLEASE NOTE: Only requests submitted 24 hours before the off-air broadcast programming airs will be accepted to ensure proper setup is completed for request.

PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with the Federal Guidelines for Off-Air Broadcast Programming, all recordings will be destroyed upon conclusion of the 45 day retention period from the day the program first aired, excluding holidays and weekends.
