Abstract:

Joye Harold Severaid taught Life Science courses at Sacramento State College and continued on as faculty at California State University, Sacramento in the Department of Biological Sciences, College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Joye Harold Severaid specialized in mammology and natural history of the Sacramento area. An active conservationist, Joye Harold Severaid served on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Zoological Society, as well as President and Chair of the Save the American River Association (SARA). He also wrote several articles and books for publication.
