An exhibit on former Sacramento mayor Joe
Serna, Jr. is on display at the Department of Special
Collections and University Archives from October 1, 2007 until
February 29, 2008. The exhibit highlights items from Joe
Serna, Jr.'s collection, and celebrates the grand opening of his
papers for public viewing.

The Department of Special Collections and
University Archives at Sacramento State is currently housing
over 1,100 symphonic scores from the former Sacramento Symphony.

2007
June 2nd marked the opening of the Sokiku
Nakatani Tea Room and Garden with a
private tea
ceremony. The tea room is a new addition to Sacramento
State and is located in the University Library.
A new
web site features
background information on the ceremonial artifacts, which is
part of the Nakatani manuscript collection.
