Open House for Instructional Faculty Liaisons & Department Chairs By Tamara Trujillo, Library Administration On November 9 and 10 the Library hosted an open house in the Collab for department/division chairs and instructional faculty liaisons. A task force composed of Anne Bradley, Leilani Hall, Kurt Kuss, Debbie Metzger, Mary Reddick, and Tamara Trujillo planned the event; all Library faculty and Charles Brown-Roberts participated in the open house over the two day period. see story
Library Assists Nursing Students with Class Project By Carol Gebel, Library Exhibits Committee Professor Tanya K. Altmann’s Nursing 11 course, Introduction to Professional Nursing, presented an opportunity for the library this semester. The number of students enrolled in the class nearly doubled. While this increase is wonderful for the future medical services of the Sacramento area, it posed the problem of how to handle the increased number of projects, which usually are presented in class. see story
Notes from the Camp Connections Conference, Little Rock, Ark By Tamara Trujillo, Library Administration I recently had the benefit of attending the four day conference Camp Connections in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sheila O’Neill and several members of the CSUS Library’s Japanese American Archival Board also attended.
The conference was sponsored by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Japanese American National Museum and was funded by a multi-million dollar grant from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. see story | | | Editor: Kathryn Blackmer Reyes Assistant Editor: Laura Archbold Floor to Floor is a monthly publication from the CSUS University Library. | Library Party! The Library Employee Committee is beginning to plan this year’s 2004 Holiday Party and building on the long tradition of fun and unity associated with this event, we are requesting the participation of every department this year. The celebration will take place on Tuesday, December 14th from 11:30am to 2:30pm on the 5th floor. In our efforts to include everyone in the festivities, the responsibility of contributing the various meal components and planning event activities has been delegated. see story for complete details.
