Mission Statement: It
is the mission of the Instructional Services unit to promote the use of
library resources as an array of teaching/learning tools and assist
students, scholars and community users in developing and fostering
information competence/literacy skills. The means to achieve this
goal can be realized through a combination of instructional sessions,
tours, tutorials, online or personal consultations that allow student
scholars to learn via a format that matches their individual learning style.
Information Literacy Student Learning Outcomes: The CSU system is committed to graduating students that are Information Literate/Competent; who have the research and information skills to find, evaluate, use, and communicate information in all of its various formats. The belief that these are important skills are necessary in all walks of life and critical to the economic and personal success are reinforced by many national and international educational associations, business leaders and accreditation agencies.
