Friends Committee on Legislation of California (FCL) is a
legislative action group established by Quakers in 1952.
Friends Committee on Legislation of California works to bring
social justice into government by influencing law-making in
California. FCL proposes and drafts legislation, testifies
before committees, lobbies legislators, and monitors state
The collection consists of administrative, legal
and fiscal records including articles of incorporation and
by-laws, meeting minutes from committees and regional branches,
and research files relative to lobbying efforts including the
death penalty and prison reform.
