Edgar J. Patterson papers


Edgar J. Patterson (1911-2001) taught in the Criminal Justice Department at Sacramento State. Throughout his life he was a top athlete in sprinting, served in the Navy as Head of the San Francisco District Shore Patrol, and was the personal police officer to Governors Earl S. Warren, Goodwin J. Knight, and Edmund G. Brown.

The collection consists of personal papers, photographs, correspondence, scrapbooks, plaques, and ephemera.
